Welcome to Beauty Hunter, come on in❣️
Imagine a life that puts Beauty at its center. As well as a bit of mischief and play.
Hello. I’m so glad you’re here.
BEAUTY HUNTER IS devoted to finding beauty in daily life and unexpected places.
Here, we explore a life that turns toward beauty as a way to exult our senses and expand our mind and spirit. Beauty as a momentary rest from suffering, a way to lighten our load, to expand our capacity for psychological health—and with all the world's contrasts, flavors, and demands.
What if creating a life with beauty—and through beauty—is the purpose of living?
We aren’t interested in overturning what’s challenging or confronting, tragic or brutal. There will be no false cheer, no sucking it up, and no force-feeding ourselves gratitude.
Beauty gives us the capacity to be with All of It. We are Beauty, too.

Hi, I’m Tatyana
I’m a writer, coach, everyday athlete, late-marrier, retired party girl, late bloomer, and a grandmother of five.
My personal essays and interviews have been widely published (ELLE, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, MSN, Seattle Review, Hippocampus Magazine). I’m currently finishing a novel about a woman who marries for the first time at 50. Absolutely nothing goes how she expected.
One-on-one: I work with creative professionals and midlifers-plus struggling in transitions, and feeling the tap to create something new. We lean into the Beauty of Life and the soft, gorgeous current-energy that mid-life has to offer.
I received an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University, and my coach training from Erickson Coaching International, in Vancouver, BC Canada.
These days, I live with my husband on Mercer Island, an island in the shape of a foot.
What is beauty?
I believe in throwing away all conventional definitions of beauty and coming up with your own. I’ve defined Beauty as that which exalts the senses and expands the mind and spirit. This year I added on being in life, out in the world, engaging with others. I could hear the universe calling me, as I sat in my office staring out the window withdrawing, withholding.
Come up with your definition of Beauty and take it for a test drive. Other Beauty Hunters have described Beauty as: Surprise, Comfort, Serving others, Awe, and Beauty as a verb. Anything goes—maybe it’s “I’ll know it when I see it.”
